The Department of Mass Communications and Journalism Studies is presenting a free student film show on Tuesday, June 3 in Sturm Hall Auditorium.

The show kicks off at 3:30 p.m. with independent study projects such as “The Jim Gray Show”, several short videos about service learning at DU, and subvertisements from the Intro. to Production class. The evening festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. and feature nine short narrative student films. Some of the films include:

“By the Book,” a story about a man who grows up living his life according to the instructions printed in a book until one day the book gets stolen and he must learn to live without it.

“As it is on Earth,” a story that follows a man’s trials when he dies and issent to a waiting room in the afterlife.

“Portal,” a mysterious fantasy about a woman who in the process of trying to solve the murder of her best friend, discovers her own mysterious past.

Other films feature stories of college life, cultural differences, and life onthe streets.
