Stolen emblem
On Thursday, May 15, at about 5:30 p.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) stole a Pioneer Athletics emblem from The Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. Denver police assistance was declined.
Car break in
On Friday, May 16, at about 4:20 p.m., a DU staff member reported unknown person(s) broke into her personal vehicle and stole the car radio while it was parked and unattended in Lot 302, west of Driscoll North. Campus Safety’s investigation is ongoing.
Small fire
On Saturday, May 17, at 2:31 p.m., there was a small fire outside the Cable Center. A D&L staff member extinguished the fire prior to the arrival of Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department. There was no damage or injuries.
It’s a bust
On Saturday, May 17, at about 3:45 p.m., a DU staff member discovered a bronze bust outside Sturm Hall. The bust had been removed from the Driscoll Ballroom. Campus Safety responded and returned the bust.
Drunk woman
On Saturday, May 17, at 7:53 p.m., an Iliff School student reported an unaffiliated female was intoxicated in the Iliff School parking lot. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the female to Porter Hospital for treatment.
Harassment in library
On Monday, May 19, at about 3:30 p.m., a DU staff member reported another staff member harassed her at Penrose Library. Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.
Trombone taken
On Monday, May 19, at about 5:20 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole his trombone from his unsecured locker at the Performing Arts Center. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.
Trespasser
On Wednesday, May 21, at 12:53 a.m., a DU staff member reported an employee was trespassing at Penrose Library. Campus Safety and Denver police responded. Campus Safety and Denver police escorted the employee off school property without incident.
Closet pot smoking
On Tuesday, May 20, at about 11 a.m., Campus Safety reported an odor of marijuana was discovered in an electrical closet at a residence hall. Campus Safety’s investigation is ongoing.
Car radio robbed
On Wednesday, May 21, at 9:54 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole a car radio from his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot 103, north of Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation.
Drunk freshman
On Thursday, May 22, at about 2:30 a.m., an RA reported an underage DU student was intoxicated and ill at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and allowed the student to return to her room.
