The Student Media Board is now accepting applications for new board members as well as editors and managers of the three campus publications and KVDU radio.
The board will select five voting members as well as a new chair of the Board.
Student Media Board Chair Barrett Wolfersperger said, “For our new board members, we are looking for responsible students who are interested in gaining leadership skills and learning about student media. No experience is needed. We are looking for students from all departments.”
The board will also interview candidates for the following positions: editor in chief of the Clarion, editor of Kynewisbok, the DU yearbook, editor of Foothills Literary Journal and manager of KVDU. After the interviews SMB members will vote to fill all the positions.
Wolfersperger said, “New publication leaders are selected based upon experience in that publication as well as the candidate’s new ideas for making the publication better.”
Applications for all positions are available in the Student Involvement Office and are due on Feb. 25. All candidates will be interviewed by the SMB prior to the end of winter quarter.
