University of Denver business students will get a chance to market their talents, network with executives and learn about the Starbucks Corporation Jan. 29.
Starbucks Day is part of the Daniels Corporate Connections program, an informational and career-oriented partnership with Daniels College of Business and top corporate executives.
The program began in January 2002.
Starbucks Day is an all day event, beginning with a networking session, internship recruitment and an evening symposium on corporate social responsibility.
Career Advisor Angela Heyroth said that students “should consider themselves a product and use this opportunity to market themselves to a global leader.”
Although undergraduate business students can attend the events, the recruiting session is aimed toward students in the MBA program. Students are encouraged to bring their resumes and dress business casual. The recruiting session is from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in DCB room 140.
The evening symposium, 5 to 7 p.m. in DCB room 240, will focus on corporate social responsibility on a global scale. Attendees will learn about international business responsibilities, like charity and recycling policies.
An informational booth in Marcus Commons will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Students can sample coffee , talk to company executives and learn more about what Fortune magazine named, “One of the top 100 companies to work for.”
