The Park Hill neighborhood remains a dicey area.

A Sodexho, the company that provides food for all areas of the campus, staff member was assaulted by six grown men on Friday, Jan. 17 at around 10:30 in the evening. Not only did the men assault the staff member, but they also attempted to rob him.

This crime happened outside of Mason Hall, the student union on the Park Hill campus.

Campus Safety, Denver police and the paramedics all arrived at the scene after the occurrence..

The paramedics treated the staff member at the scene.

There is no other information that has been given to the Campus Safety.

Denver police are continuing to investigate.

Other serious crimes have occurred on the Park Hill campus as well. In the late 1990’s, there was murder that also occurred in Mason Hall.

A kitchen window was broken and a kitchen staff member was stabbed to death. This murder case was never solved.
