So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter – Ani DiFranco Release Date: Sept. 10 B A mere five years have passed since Ani DiFranco’s remarkable double live Living in Clip was released, but that hasn’t prevented her die-hard fans from clamoring for more. On Shouting, DiFranco provides, and proves that sometimes there just can’t be too much of a good thing. This time around, DiFranco brings a fiery jazz-rock band to back her as she plays and soars. Key tracks include “Rock Paper Scissors” and “Not a Pretty Girl.” Also not to be missed is DiFranco’s previously unreleased anti-war spoken word piece on life in post-9/11 America, “Self Evident.” This is definitely an album for her much-adoring fans and helps to explain their devotion to her live shows. Brimming with much charisma, giggles, flaws, and enough dazzling guitar riffs to hold you for another five years, or at least until the next time Ani rolls into town.
