The Residence Halls Association is implementing a new program called DU Dollars, whose motto is “DU More, Get More.”
The purpose of the program is to encourage students to participate in residence life by rewarding their participation with DU “money.” Students living in the residence halls will be rewarded for involvement with DU Dollars, which can be used to purchase items at the end-of-the-year auction.
DU Dollars are awarded in $10 increments for attending floor or hall meetings, or for proposing a floor or hall activity.
Students will be rewarded with $20 for attending a floor or hall activity, a Resident Halls Association event or Resident Hall Council event.
Creating the Hall’s bulletin board will be rewarded with $50.
At the end of the year, DU Dollars can be used to bid for prices at the DU Dollars Auction. A list of prizes will be announced prior to the auction and will include VCR’s, portable CD players, movie certificates, videos, music and more.
The larger items will be raffled off with raffle tickets that cost $76 DU Dollars each.
