12:05 p.m., a DU student reported that unknown person(s) stole the handlebars to his bicycle while it was secured to the bike rack at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation. The Denver Police Department’s assistance was declined.

3:30 p.m., a Sodexho employee reported that another Sodexho employee assaulted her at Mason Hall. Campus Safety’s investigation is ongoing.

11:27 a.m., an adult male reported that unknown person(s) attempted to break in and steal coins from two commercial dryers at Dunklee Hall. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation. The laundry vendor was notified.

Jan. 24

1:30 p.m., a construction worker reported his crew accidentally punctured a gas line at University College. Campus Safety, the Denver Fire Department and Public Service Company responded. The leak was contained and there were no injuries.

2:11 p.m., a DU staff member reported a suspicious adult male at the Porter Administration Building. Campus Safety responded and was unable to locate the suspicious male.

6:10 p.m., a DU staff member reported two DU lacrosse team members collided during practice on the lacrosse field. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported one of the players to University Hospital for treatment.

8:48 p.m., a DU student reported an underage DU student intoxicated and ill at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Denver General Hospital for treatment.

8:48 p.m., a DU student reported another DU student fell and injured himself outside Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Denver General Hospital for treatment.

Jan. 25

2:25 a.m., a resident assistant reported a fight involving DU students at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation. The Denver Police Department’s assistance was declined.

1:52 a.m., a DU staff member reported a found wallet outside of Huchingson Hall. Campus Safety responded and secured the wallet in the Campus Safety Office for safekeeping.

Jan. 28

10:01 a.m., a DU staff member reported a DU student ill at the English Language Center. Campus Safety, the Denver Fire Department and paramedics responded. Paramedics transported the student to Rose Medical Center for treatment.

3:20 p.m., a Campus Safety Officer reported unknown person(s) spray painted the stone building sign in front of Johnson-McFarlane. Facilities Management was notified.

3:34 p.m., a staff member reported an unaffiliated construction worker accidentally cut fiber optic cables in Lot Z, east of Sturm Hall. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation.

Jan. 29

12:30 p.m., a Campus Safety Officer reported graffiti on an electrical transformer outside Columbine Hall. Facilities Management was notified.

9:33 p.m., a DU student reported an underage DU student intoxicated and ill at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety, the Denver Police Department and paramedics responded. Paramedics determined that the student did not need to be transported to a hospital for further treatment.

7:45 p.m., a Johnson and Wales University student reported that unknown person(s) stole his laptop computer from his residence at Dunklee Hall. Campus Safety’s investigation is ongoing.
