Jan. 18

2:50 p.m., a DU student at Centennial Halls reported unknown person(s) made unauthorized purchases using his lost Pioneer ID card. Campus Safety responded, completed the investigation and advised the student to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

3:00 p.m., a DU faculty member at the Daniels College of Business reported an unauthorized letter mailed to a DU student. Campus Safety’s investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 19

12:05 a.m., a Resident Assistant reported an odor of marijuana coming from a residence at Centennial Towers. Campus Safety responded and identified the occupants of the residence. Campus Safety confiscated marijuana seeds and a bottle of liquor and secured them at the Campus Safety Center for safekeeping. The student was referred to Citizenship and Community Standards for disposition.

12:48 a.m., a Resident Assistant reported a broken “bong” outside Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation.

3:15 p.m., a Graduate Resident Director reported a DU student damaged the door to a residence at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation. Facilities Management was notified.

2:00 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at Wesley Hall. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded. The investigation revealed an overflowed toilet caused the alarm.

Jan. 20

2:24 a.m., a Resident Assistant reported an underage DU student intoxicated and ill at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded. The investigation revealed the student was not intoxicated and medical assistance was not necessary.

4:44 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) slashed two tires to his personal vehicle which was parked in Lot H1, south of Ben Cherrington Hall. Campus Safety’s investigation is ongoing.

7:05 p.m., a DU student reported unidentified juveniles stole juice beverages from an unsecured vending cooler at the Ritchie Center. Campus Safety responded and was unable to locate any suspects in the area. The remaining inventory of beverages was confiscated by Campus Safety and secured at the Campus Safety Center for safekeeping.

Jan. 22

12:05 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) stole the handlebars to his bicycle while it was secured to the bike rack at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation. DPD assistance was declined.

3:30 p.m., a Sodexho employee reported another Sodexho employee assaulted her at Mason Hall. Campus SafetyCB-s investigation is ongoing.

11:27 a.m., an unaffiliated adult male reported unknown person(s) attempted to break in and steal coins from two commercial dryers at Dunklee Hall. Campus Safety responded and completed the investigation. The laundry vendor was notified.
