The man arrested in September for suspected masturbation inside Centennial Halls has plead guilty in Denver County Court and will be sentenced in July according to Campus Safety Crime Prevention Sgt. Stephen Banet.

According to court records, 34-year-old Orin Fryson, plead guilty to three counts of indecent exposure and masturbation, a Class 1 misdemeanor. All Class 1 misdemeanors hold a minimum sentence of six months in jail or a $500 fine. Charges have a maximum of up to 18 mo. and 5,000. Fryson will be One charge for indecent exposure and masturbation was dropped.

Fryson was arrested September 13 of last year on four counts of indecent exposure and masturbation, one of which was reported by a DU student in September. When arrested, he had one charge from the incident at DU, one charge reported by Arapahoe Community College (ACC) and two counts reported by the Metropolitan State University of Denver.

According to Banet, Fryson accepted a plea bargain to have one charge dropped in exchange for pleading guilty to the other three charges.

Fryson was reported publicly masturbating in front of Centennial Halls last year. Campus Safety interviewed the reporting victim and found Fryson on the security camera placed over the front doors of Centennial Halls.

Campus Safety collaborated the information with other universities, and both Metropolitan State and ACC reported the same instance on their campuses in recent weeks.

After DPD identified the suspect, he was arrested and began court proceedings in September.
