On Friday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m., while on routine patrol in lot #108, a Campus Safety officer observed two DU students aiding another DU student who appeared to be only semi-conscious. Paramedics were requested, arrived on scene and evaluated the student. The student, who had regained full consciousness, refused transport to a hospital for additional treatment.

On Saturday, March 26, at 11:41 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from the Centennial Halls Dining Hall regarding an unaffiliated party in need of medical assistance. Paramedics evaluated the unaffiliated party and determined that they could be released to the care of a family member.

 

On Tuesday, March 22, at 11:37 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from the Centennial Halls dining hall regarding a DU student who was acting strangely. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the student and called for paramedic assistance. Paramedics determined that the student didn’t need to be transported. The student was escorted by Campus Safety to their residence and the Health and Counseling Center was contacted to follow up with the student.

 

VANDALISM

 

On Friday, March 25, at 8:11 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Delta Delta Delta Sorority regarding vandalism. Upon arrival, a Campus Safety officer spoke with the house manager who reported that, when they awoke in the morning, they discovered that several vehicles parked behind the house had been egged and that some outdoor décor items had been tampered with.

 

Drugs and alcohol

 

On Friday, March 25, at 11:20 p.m., while investigating another incident, a Campus Safety officer encountered a student in the Kappa Sigma fraternity house who was in possession of alcohol and a false identification card. The student did not appear to be intoxicated and the officer confiscated the false identification.

 

On Thursday, March 25, at 11:35 p.m., on routine patrol, a Campus Safety officer observed a DU student carrying a small flask near Johnson-McFarlane Hall. The officer contacted the student, disposed of the alcohol and released the student.

 

On Friday, March 25, at 1:32 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Nelson Hall regarding an intoxicated student. Upon arrival, officers contacted the student in questionwere able to rouse the student, who refused to go to Denver Cares. The Denver Police Department was contacted and Denver Police Department officers cited the student and transported them to Denver Cares.

 

On Friday, March 25, 2:14 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a business on South University Boulevard regarding a fight involving three DU students. It was reported that the three students, who were all intoxicated, had been fighting when the community member called for Denver Police Department assistance. Two of the students were cited by Denver Police Department and transported to Denver Cares. One student was released that night.

On Monday, March 21, at 9:11 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Centennial Towers regarding stolen bicycle tires. A DU student reported that the tires were stolen from his bicycle located on the east side of Centennial Towers. The theft reportedly occurred sometime between 7 a.m. on March 12 and 7:55 a.m., on March 21.

 

On Tuesday, March 22, at 3:57 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from the Penrose Library regarding a lost or stolen wallet. Upon arrival, a Campus Safety officer spoke with a DU student who reported that, on March 21, while studying in the building, they left their personal items unattended.

 

On Tuesday, March 22, at 3:59 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from the Bookstore regarding a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a DU staff member who stated that they had observed a DU student take items without paying for them and leave the store. The student was cited for shoplifting and released by Denver Police.
