Student dispute
On Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 4:29 p.m. a DU student reported a verbal altercation with another DU student in the 2200 block of S. High Street. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified. Disposition pending report review.
Underage Drinking
On Thursday, Oct. 25, at 11:18 p.m. Campus Safety responded to a noise complaint at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed three underage DU students were in possession of alcohol containers. Two of the students admitted consuming alcohol. The contraband was disposed of. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Verbal Altercation On Thursday, Oct. 25, at 11:59 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a verbal altercation at Sturm Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed an unidentified DU student had a verbal altercation with a DU staff member in a classroom. Disposition pending report review.
Vandalism at Towers
On Friday, Oct. 26, at 1:58 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism at Centennial Towers. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown broke a window in a common area on the sixth floor. Facilities Management was notified to repair the window. Disposition pending report review.
Intoxicated students
On Friday, Oct. 26, at 2:45 a.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the Harper Humanities Gardens when he observed a party who appeared to be intoxicated.
An on-scene investigation revealed the party was a severely intoxicated DU student. The Denver Police Department responded and transported the student to a detox facility for medical treatment. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Fire at frat house
On Friday, Oct. 26, at 4:23 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house. Due to the amount of smoke the building was evacuated. An on-scene investigation revealed person(s) unknown threw a smoke bomb in an open window as a prank. Greek Life will be notified.
Traffic accident
On Friday, Oct. 26, at 7:04 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a traffic accident in parking lot 301 near the Campus Safety Center.
An on-scene investigation revealed a DU staff member driving a University owned vehicle struck a parked University owned vehicle at 6:45 p.m. Minor damage and no injuries were reported. Risk Management will be notified.
Objects thrown from window
On Friday, Oct. 26, at 10:32 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of objects being thrown from a residence hall room window at Nelson Hall.
An on-scene investigation revealed six DU students and two unaffiliated parties were in the room. Three students admitted consuming alcohol but all parties denied throwing objects from the window. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Marijuana smoking
On Saturday, Oct. 27, at 12:54 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Centennial Halls.
An on-scene investigation revealed no one was present in the room but drug paraphernalia and alcohol containers were in plain view. Campus Safety confiscated the contraband. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Unwelcome guest at Halls
On Sunday, Oct. 28, at 9:32 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an unwanted party at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party returned to a residence hall room despite being advised he was no longer welcome there.
The party left the area prior to Campus Safety arrival. Campus Saftey completed a report.
