Dear editor,
In response to “The Sports Fix” by Kevin Fixler featured in the Feb. 7 edition, I am writing to say that I am appalled by what I read.B
The article is spent insulting and attacking Reggie White for his moral views and courageous public acknowledgement of his faith. Fixler claims that by quoting the Bible verse 1 Corinthians 6:9 and believing God when He declares homosexuality to be a sin, Reggie White was tarnishing his legacy, setting a bad role model for people of faith, and supporting homosexual hate-crimes.
In truth, he did exactly the opposite on all three accounts. White was a tremendous role model for all people for telling them that they shouldn’t conform to the moral relativity plaguing our nation, that they should speak out to defend their faith, and that God has the final word on all things moral, not man.
Fixler calls White’s view on this “deplorable”, meaning “wretched, bad, and worthy of severe condemnation.” This is exactly how I would describe Fixler’s article for the intolerable view he takes towards Christian athletes. I hope that in the future he will cover sports and leave the moral judgments up to God.

Dear editor,
“I have a dog named Buffy and she is a girl dog. She goes out and she finds a boy dog and they fall in love and she has puppies. She knows she’s a girl dog and he knows he’s a boy dog. All anyone has to do is look down their pants to find out what God made them to be. If they can’t figure that out, they have less sense than my dog Buffy!”
Is homosexuality natural? Is it normal? Then it must be unnatural and abnormal. The problem isn’t between their legs, it is between their ears. It is a mental choice that can be reversed so as to return to the normal and natural human being that God created them to be in the first place. What ever happened to common sense?
Thank you for your fair and balanced regard for my opinion.
