University Park Campus

June 28At 4:25 p.m. DCS, DFD and Denver Paramedics responded to University Hall on a report of a student suffering from heat exhaustion. The student was transported to Swedish hospital for treatment.

At. 4:25 p.m. DCS responded to Centennial Towers on a report of an attempted burglary to the cafCB). A Marriott employee stated that someone had tried to gain entry via the dock doors to the cafCB) area. DCS investigation concluded that no entry was made. DCS investigation is ongoing.

June 30 At 12:40 a.m. DCS resonded to Johnson McFarlane Hall on a report of a conferee being harassed by a fellow conferee while he slept. Counselors for the conference were notified and they advised that they would resolve the situation internally.

At 10:12 a.m. DCS responded to Johnson-MacFarlane Hall on a report of a broken window. Upon arrival a counselor for some conferee’s stated that some unknown conferees had been playing soccer in the hallway earlier and that the ball had hit the glass door accidentally. DCS contacted facilities and made the scene as safe as possible.

July 1, 2002 At 6:23 p.m. DCS responded to University Apartments and contacted the resident manager. She stated that an unknown person had gained entry to one of the apartments with the use of a key to the apartment. DCS contacted this graduated student who stated that she was house sitting the apartment for a friend who is the resident. The student was allowed to gather some personal belongings and was then escorted off of the property by DCS.

Park Hill Campus

June 28At 5:12 p.m, DCS responded to Foote Hall on a report of a theft. JWU affiliate stated that their digital camera had been taken from outside of room 230 earlier that afternoon. The camera was left unattended in a black carrying case. DCS investigation is ongoing.

June 29, 2002At 2:25 a.m. DCS responded to the Lowell Thomas building on a report from custodians of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival a DCS officer observed two unknown males in the lobby of the building. These individuals fled, DCS was not able to contact them. DPD responded and the building was checked and it appeared nothing was taken.

At 6:50 p.m. DCS responded to the Lowell Thomas Building on a fire alarm. DFD responded and determined that alarm to be the result of a power failure to the building.

At 8:09pm DCS responded to Foote Hall on a fire alarm. DFD responded and determined the cause of the alarm was a catering staff cooking for a wedding party.
