Pot smell at

Nagel Hall

Campus Safety responded to the report of a heavy odor of marijuana coming from a room in Nagel Hall on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 10:22 p.m.

The students denied smoking marijuana and no drug paraphernalia was found.

The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.

Fire alarm at Aspen Hall

Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at Aspen Hall on Monday, Feb. 23, at 7:04 p.m.

The Denver Police Department found that smoke from burned food caused the alarm.

Campus Safety filed a complete report.

Trespasser on building site

On Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 11:23 a.m., a university contractor reported trespassing at the Ruffatto Hall construction site.

An investigation showed the contractor had secured the gate at the north end of the construction area on Monday. However, when he returned on Tuesday at 6:20 a.m., he discovered the lock had been cut.

No items were reported missing. There will be a disposition pending report review.

University

vehicle egged

Campus safety responded to a report of vandalism on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 2:29 a.m.

An investigation found video surveillance of an unidentified male threw eggs at a university vehicle in lot E near the Campus Safety Center on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 2:29 a.m.

There will be a disposition pending report review.

Threatening e-mails

A student at the Sturm College of Law reported harassment on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 9:23 a.m.

A report showed that the student had received threatening e-mails from another DU student on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.

Staffer crashes

A DU staff member struck a bicycle parked in the rack on the north side of Sturm Hall while driving a golf cart rented for a university event on Wednesday, Feb. 25, at 1:10 p.m.

Minor damage and no injuries were reported.

Risk Management was notified.

Vehicle on fire

A Campus Safety officer observed smoke coming from the hood of a parked vehicle in the 2100 block of S. High Street on Thursday, Feb. 26, at 8:13 a.m.

An on-scene investigation revealed no one was inside the car and flames were coming from the engine compartment.

The owner of the vehicle was contacted and reported parking the vehicle and calling the Denver Fire Department for assistance, who extinguished the flames.

Campus Safety filed a report.

Parking lot gate hits student car

The gate arm of Lot 103 near Centennial Halls came down and hit the top of a student’s vehicle at 9:55 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. The gate malfunctioned as the student was attempting to leave the parking lot.

The incident was observed by a Parking Enforcement Officer, who reported the malfunction to Risk Management.
