Amy Jensen- Women’s Tennis

Jensen will become the new head coach of the Pioneers after six seasons as an assistant with the University of California. Along with helping the Golden Bears as part of the coaching staff, Jensen also was a standout player for Cal, earning All-America honors twice in singles and three times in doubles. Jensen also was part of a doubles team that won three straight NCAA Championships from 1998-2000.

Shelby Kealy- Women’s Basketball

Former DU women’s basketball team captain, Shelby Kealy has rejoined her former program as an assistant coach. After five years as an assistant coach at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., Kealy will get a chance to bring her invaluable playing and coaching experience back to the DU campus.

Lisa Kelly- Women’s Lacrosse

Two-time America East Coach of the Year Lisa Kelly becomes the Pioneers’ new head coach after five successful years at Boston University. Kelly, a former All-America at the University of Delaware, comes to DU after leading Boston to two straight NCAA tournament appearances the past two seasons

Matt Laatsch- Hockey

Laatsch, a former DU defenseman, joins the team as a volunteer assistant coach. After a strong college career in which he helped DU to two National Championships, Laatsch briefly played for the Chicago Blackhawks’ American Hockey League affiliate before retiring from professional hockey last year. Laatsch was a 2005 graduate of DU.

Andrew LeRoy- Alpine Ski

Former University of Colorado standout skier Andrew LeRoy was named as the new head coach of the men’s and women’s alpine ski team. An individual NCAA champion in the 2000 slalom, LeRoy will take over after two years of coaching the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. LeRoy was also a member of the 1998 U.S. Ski Team that competed in the Nagano Olympics

Todd Nelson- Volleyball

Coming off of three seasons as an assistant at Marquette University, Nelson joins the Pioneers as an assistant coach. Nelson played and coached for the men’s club volleyball team at the University of Minnesota- Duluth, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.

Brian Schrader- Swimming and Diving

Schrader becomes the new DU head coach after five strong seasons as an assistant coach of the University of Georgia’s swimming and diving program, in which he helped the women’s program to the 2005 NCAA Championship. Schrader earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the University of Texas.

Wolf Wallendorf- Nordic Ski

After three seasons as an assistant coach, Wallendorf was promoted to the head coaching position of the men’s and women’s Nordic Ski team. Wallendorf, a 2002 graduate of DU, brings winning experience to an already dominant program. He was part of four national championships (three as a player, one as assistant coach).

Danny Westerman- Men’s Tennis

Westerman was named as the head coach of DU men’s tennis team after three years as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin. A four year letter winner at Wisconsin, Westerman will bring valuable playing and coaching experience to his first head coaching job.
