On Friday, Jan. 7, at 9:15 p.m., a DU staff member observed two DU students consuming beer at the Magness Arena. Campus Safety, Argus Event Services and Denver police contacted the students. The students were determined to be under age. The beer was confiscated and the students were ejected from Magness Arena. The incident will be referred to Citizenship and Community standards for disposition.

Doobie brothers

On Sunday, Jan. 9, at 2:17 a.m., a Campus Safety officer observed two males smoking from an object as they stood on a sidewalk between Nelson Hall and Johnson McFarlane Hall. The males were contacted and found to be DU students. A marijuana bong was confiscated. Personal information was gathered and the students were released. The incident will be referred to Citizenship and Community Standards for disposition.

Fire prankster

On Friday, Jan. 7, at 5:33 p.m., a DU student reported that he received information via telephone that there was a fire in a room at Johnson McFarlane Hall. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed that the information was false. A search for the person making the call met with negative results.

Iron grab

On Monday, Jan. 10, at 4 p.m., a DU student reported that her sweatshirt was grabbed and held by another DU student. The incident took place at a house in the 2600 block of south University Boulevard. Denver police assistance was declined. The report will be referred to Citizenship and Community Standards for disposition.

Secret stash

On Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 11:08 a.m., a DU staff member reported that candy and other items were missing from a secured storage closet in the Daniels College of Business. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation on scene.

Roof party

On Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 12:37 a.m., Campus Safety was called to Hilltop Hall regarding three males on the roof. Campus Safety identified the students as DU students. The incident will be referred to Citizenship and Community Standards for disposition.

Box lunch heist

On Wednesday, Jan. 12 at 3:53 p.m., a DU staff member reported that person(s) unknown stole a box containing several box lunches from the loading dock area of the Ritchie Center. A Campus Safety officer completed an investigation on scene.
