Remember that hysterical comedy about a loveable hitman and his dentist neighbor called “The Whole Nine Yards”?
Well, lucky for you, Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry and Amanda Peet have teamed up again to give a the sequel, “The Whole Ten Yards.”
Critics have given the new Warner Brothers production, which came out in early April, many poor ratings.
The Chicago Tribune called it “a big, empty picture full of star turns, artificial energy and jokes that don’t quite work.”
Nevertheless, if you enjoyed the first, I urge you to see the second.
The plot takes off in a continuation of the old adventures of hitman, Jimmy the Tulip played by Willis and Oz the dentist played by Perry.
Things take a wild turn when Oz’s wife is kidnapped by the Hungarian mob, forcing the dentist and the hitman to reunite once again.
The witty comedy and twisted ironies appear again in the sequel.
Even if you haven’t seen the first, Perry and Willis will make you laugh until it hurts.
The cast has obvious on-screen chemistry, which adds a large amount of sincerity to the characters and plot.
Perry uses the same humor as his character on Friends and Willis plays the most charming and innocent hitman in film history.
Throw in a little Amanda Peet and Kevin Pollak and you have a great combination of talented actors and actresses.
Bottom line: If “Nine Yards” made you laugh, “Ten Yards” will not disappoint you.
