Marijuana smell in Nagel room
Campus Safety was called to Nagel Hall when the odor of marijuana was detected coming from one of the residence hall rooms at 8:57 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9.
Three students were discovered in the room, and the scent of marijuana was present.
The Denver Police Department was called and issued citations to one of the students for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal acts on or about university property.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
False fire alarm at sorority house
An unknown person activated the fire alarm at the Delta Delta Delta sorority house on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 12:56 a.m. according to the Denver Fire Department.
No smoke or fire was present in the house. The alarm was determined to be false.
Window broken at Mary Reed
A broken window in the east entrance door of the Mary Reed Building was discovered by a Campus Safety officer on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 3:45 p.m. during a routine patrol.
Campus Safety does not know how or when the damage was done.
Intoxicated male found near SAE
A severely intoxicated DU student was found lying on the lawn of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house by a Campus Safety officer at 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11.
Paramedics were called and transported the student to a detoxification facility for treatment.
The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.
Drunk student vandalizes room
An unidentified student in Nagel Hall was reported to Campus Safety on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 3:06 p.m.
The student, who was severely intoxicated, injured himself and vandalized his own residence hall room.
Campus Safety and paramedics were called in and the student was transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
Student faints in Driscoll Center
Campus Safety was called in after a student fainted in the Driscoll Student Center at 12:30 p.m. last Tuesday.
The student told officers that she was uninjured and did not need medical assistance.
Jacket stolen from the Border
A student reported a theft in the 2000 block of South University Boulevard last Tuesday at 2:02 p.m.
The student had her jacket, containing several personal items, including her DU identification card, stolen from the Border Restaurant and Lounge.
The student was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.
Student sent to counseling
A student called Campus Safety last Wednesday at 1:12 a.m. and reported that she was worried about another student at Aspen Hall.
She requested that an officer check on him. A Campus Safety officer put the student in question in touch with a counselor who determined that the student was not a threat to himself or others.
The student agreed to be seen at the Health and Counseling Center on Thursday.
