Suspicous parties at light rail

At 12:16 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, a Campus Safety officer spotted three suspicious people near the University light rail station during a routine patrol of parking lot C near Centennial Halls.

The party appeared to be watching the University parking lots and disbanded when approached by the officer.

Student has

seizure in Sturm

Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department reported to Sturm Hall at 9:25 a.m on Monday, Oct. 6, after a call about a sick party was made.

Upon arriving they discovered that as student had had a seizure. The student was transported to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.

Furniture removed from Nelson

A theft from Nelson Hall was reported to Campus Safety at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 6.

Furniture was stolen from the lobby of the residence hall sometime between 11 p.m. on Sunday night and 5 a.m. on Monday morning.

ID stolen from Field House

A student reported his DU student ID stolen to Campus Safety at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The student had left personal items unattended for nearly an hour on Sunday, Oct. 5, at the Gates Field House. When he returned to retrieve the items, he discovered that his ID was missing.

Traffic accident

A DU student reported accidentally hitting the vehicle of an unafilliated party with his car to Campus Safety at 12:17 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

The collison occured while the student was attempting to park his car in the E lot near the Campus Safety Center.

The damage was minor. Unable to contact the owner, Campus Safety left contact information on the vehicle.

Hit-and-run

A woman unaffiliated with DU reported a hit-and -run accident in Lot 302 near the Driscoll Center to Campus Safety on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 5:04 p.m.

She had parked her car in the lot at 12:55 p.m. and upon returning to it at 5 p.m. discovered damage to the right rear of the vehicle.

She was advised to file a report with the Denver Police Department.

Student sent to detox

The Denver Police and Fire Departments had to be called to help Campus Safety deal with a severely inoxicated underage student at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The student was combative with Denver Police and had to be transported to Porter Hospital for treatment.

Staff member falsely accused

A party unaffiliated with the university falsely reported harassment by a university staff member in the 1800 block of South High Street to Campus Safety at 6:42 a.m. on Thursday, Oct 8.

When an on-scene investigation by a Campus Safety officer revealed that no harassment had taken place.

The party admitted to having falsified the accusation.

Fake ID found in lost belongings

A Campus Safety officer found a fake identification card and alcohol containers in the personal belongings of a student at 2:25 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.

The officer was returning the items, which had been lost by the student.

The contraband was confiscated and the Office of Citizenship and Community Standards was notified.
