WILLIAMS, FRY NAMED TO NEW POSTS

Alvin Williams has been promoted to assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Denver, and D. Eric Fry, ATC, has been hired to join the sports medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer, Director of Athletics and Recreation Dr. M. Dianne Murphy announced today.

UNIVERSITY GARNERS LEAGUE ACADEMIC RECOGNITION

The University of Denver placed 101 student-athletes on the 2001-02 Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List and Honor Roll, commissioner Wright Waters announced late last week.

SILVA NAMED TO NCAA ALL-SCHOLAR TEAM

University of Denver women’s golfer Sara Silva (Fort Morgan, Colo.) was honored Tuesday as The National Golf Coaches Association Division I, II and II All-Scholar Teams were announced with 232 women’s collegiate golfers being recognized with the prestigious honor.
