Sick student On Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 8:51 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an ill student at Olin Hall. An on scene investigation revealed a DU student felt faint. The student was escorted to the Student Health Center by another DU student.
Graffiti vandalsOn Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 8:55 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of vandalism in parking lot 302. An on scene investigation revealed that two trucks belonging to a university vendor were sprayed with graffiti. An investigation is on going
Phone pranksterOn Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 4:25 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of harassment at the Daniels College of Business. An on scene investigation revealed that a DU staff member received a harassing call from an unknown individual. An investigation is on going.
Unwanted exhibitionismOn Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. a DU student reported indecent exposure at the 1900 block of E. Iliff Avenue. Campus Safety completed a report and advised the student to contact Campus Safety if the individual is seen in the area.
Cannibus raidOn Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 12:22 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an odor of marijuana at Centennial Halls. An on scene investigation revealed two DU students were smoking marijuana. Campus Safety confiscated all marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the room. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.
Sorority theftsOn Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 6:11 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft from vehicle at the Tri Delta sorority house. An on scene investigation revealed a window was broken out of a vehicle belonging to a DU student. A backpack was taken from the vehicle. The student will contact Denver Police to file a report.On Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 3:30 p.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft from vehicle at Gamma Phi Beta house. An on scene investigation revealed no signs of forced entry. A CD player and duffle bag were taken from the vehicle. The student will contact Denver police to file a report.
Theft updateOn Thursday, Oct. 13, Campus Safety was contacted by one of the victims of the sorority thefts. She advised that the Broomfield Police Department arrested a suspect in these thefts and recovered almost all of the property taken. Campus Safety investigation is on going.
Hammered froshOn Friday, Oct. 14, at 12:47 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an underage, intoxicated DU student at Centennial Halls. An on scene investigation revealed the student was intoxicated. The student was transported to a detox facility by Denver Cares.
Wallet crookOn Thursday, Oct. 13, at 3:25 p.m., a DU staff member reported a theft from an office at Daniels College. A Campus Safety report revealed cash was taken from a wallet in an unsecured office. An investigation is on going.
Phone pestOn Thursday, Oct. 13, at 3:47 p.m., a Cable Center staff member reported harassment. A Campus Safety report revealed the staff member has been receiving harassing phone calls from a solicitor for the last month. Campus Safety completed a report.
Early trick or treatersOn Friday, Oct. 14, at 1:45 p.m., a DU staff member reported suspicious individuals in parking lot 103. Campus Safety observed three individuals by CCTV carrying two axes and a knife. Campus Safety contacted the individuals who were identified as DU students. The students were advised of the Student Code of Conduct as it pertains to weapons. The student transported the weapons to an off-campus location.
Passed out and fat lipOn Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2:35 a.m., Campus Safety was conducting a routine patrol in parking lot 103 and found a DU student passed out in the driver’s seat of an unsecured vehicle. The student had an injured lip and had vomited in the vehicle. The Denver Fire Department responded and determined the student did not require medical attention.
Peeping TomOn Sunday, Oct. 16, at 6:10 p.m., a DU staff member reported a peeping Tom in the women’s locker room at the El Pomar Natatorium. A Campus Safety report revealed the party was confronted by the staff member and fled the area. Investigation is on going.
Sidewalk runOn Saturday, Oct. 15, at 5:22 a.m., Campus Safety observed a suspicious party in parking lot 103 by CCTV. Campus Safety officers responded to the parking lot and attempted to block the vehicle from exiting the lot. The party drove over the sidewalk and fled the area. Denver police was notified.
Drunken disturbanceOn Sunday, Oct. 16, at 1:31 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance at Centennial Halls. An investigation revealed an underage, intoxicated DU student was causing the disturbance. The student was calmed by an RA and allowed to remain in the residence hall.
Skateboarder injuryOn Monday, Oct. 17, at 12:14 a.m., Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured student at the 1800 block of South High Street. An investigation revealed a DU student fell from a skateboard and injured his wrist. The student was transported to Porter Hospital by a student in a personal vehicle.
