With summer vacation right around the corner, DU is bustling with talk about summer plans. If you’re staying in Denver over the summer, you’ll have plenty to do between events, concerts and some of the best spots to go camping in the United States.
All throughout the summer, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison will be hosting “Film on the Rocks,” where they will be featuring five movies. With beautiful scenery, the amphitheater proves to be an amazing spot if you’d like to break away from the normal movie theater and have a more scenic view with an outdoor movie.
On June 12, they will be showing “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.” On June 19, they will be showing “Black Panther.” On July 10, “Top Gun Maverick” will be playing. On July 24, “Mama Mia!,” and on August 21, they will be featuring “Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi.” Tickets are selling fast, so be sure to buy them quickly if interested.
If you’re interested in concerts, you’re in luck as Denver has many venues that will be hosting famous artists all summer. Some of the top concert venues to check out this summer would be Red Rocks, of course, Ball Arena, Fillmore Auditorium, Ogden Theatre, Mission Ballroom and Grizzly Rose. Depending on your music taste, you can find something you’d like at most of these venues!
Though it may be difficult to sift through the tons of shows that will be playing in Denver over the summer, some websites like Event Ticket Center make this easier for you, separating by venue, date and genre of music. Across the board, there is something for everyone.
