One-hundred and twenty years of student journalism, 120 years of forging careers and lifelong friendships. The Clarion is more than just a storied student publication; it’s the foundation and springboard for hundreds of young journalists.
Serving as the Editor-in-Chief from 2016-17 was extremely challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. I attribute the Clarion to opening up many doors in both my personal and professional life. The friendships I made and the lessons I learned are something that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and I frequently look back on my four years on staff fondly.
Without the Clarion, I’m not sure where my career as a journalist would have led me. However, I know for a fact that I’m better off because of DU’s student publication. Thank you to my staff, my professors, my peers and my university for giving me the chance to grow.
Forever bold, Crimson and Gold!
