On Saturday, the Pioneers men’s swim and dive team beat the Air Force Falcons 203-95 at El Pomar Natatorium, winning thirteen out of fourteen events on senior day. Denver is now 2-0 on the season.

Junior Cameron Auchinachie (Binghamton, N.Y.) contributed to four out of the thirteen wins, winning the 50 free with a time of 20.05 seconds, the 100 free at 44.77, and being apart of the winning team of both the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay. Senior Colin Gilbert (Kamloops, B.C.) was the second winningest Pioneer of the day, coming out on top in the 500 and 1000 free and the 200 fly. Junior Adriel Sanes (Rosharon, Texas) won both breaststroke events, and senior Hugo Sykes (Weston, Conn.) won both the individual free relay and was apart of the winning group for the 200 free relay.

Diving was the only event the Pioneers did not win, with senior Alex Morgan (Dyer, Ind.) coming in third place out of four with a score of 243.22 on the one meter dive.

Next week, both the men’s and women’s teams will head to Tucson, Ariz. to take on Hawaii and Arizona for a two-day meet.
