The women’s tennis team extended their winning streak to five matches after defeating previously undefeated Wisconsin on Friday, Feb. 15, at the newly finished Denver Tennis Park

At no. 1 doubles, senior Bianca Mok (Boise, Id.) and sophomore Camile Verden-Anderson (Epsom, England) defeated the pairing of Castellanu/Makarova 6-2. No. 2 doubles sophomore Anna Riedmiller (Wichita, Kan.) and freshman Tatum Burger (Denver) defeated Keberle/Markham 7-5.

In the singles competition, Riedmiller (no. 3) and Verden-Anderson (no. 6) finished with straight-set victories, with Riedmiller defeating Makarova 6-3, 6-2 and Verden-Anderson defeating Rumpf 6-1, 6-2, setting up no. 2 redshirt senior Arisha Ladhani to clinch the match. She came through with a 6-1, 6-4 victory, and Burger secured the win for the Pioneers after coming from behind, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The women’s tennis team (6-1, 0-0) travels to Georgia State University on Friday, Feb. 22, followed by a match against the University of Central Florida on Saturday, Feb. 23.
