DU has chosen speakers for its graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies which will take place on June 14 and 15, respectively. Imran Khan will speak at the undergraduate ceremony, and Freeman A. Hrabowski III will speak at the graduate ceremony.

Khan graduated from DU in 2000 with bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics. In 2017, he received distinction as a young DU alumnus with a far-reaching impact and strong leadership capacity. Khan has enjoyed successful careers at JPMorgan, Credit Suisse, Snapchat and, most recently, a technology and social media company                             called Snap Inc.

Hrabowski graduated from Hampton Institute with an MA in math and a PhD in higher education administration and statistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the president of the University of Maryland at Baltimore County, has extensive research experience on science and math education and advocates for inclusion of minority groups. Hrabowski has received prestigious awards from U.S. News & World Report and Time Magazine and served on the President’s Advisory Commission on Education Excellence for African Americans during the Obama administration. As part of his activism during the Civil Rights movement, Hrabowski was featured in “Four Little Girls,” a documentary about a church bombing                                                     in Birmingham, Ala.
