We love DU. We see its flaws. But, more importantly, we see its potential. These were the first words written down when we decided to run for USG. Being a leader on campus doesn’t mean we hold a position of leadership, but instead lead, act and implement.

Your story. Our USG. In the last 12 weeks, we have spoken with many students and community members to learn what USG and DU could do to best serve them. The stories of students were inspiring, strengthening, reaffirming and disheartening as we learned the triumphs and failures of the university and the impacts on students. We want to foster a love for DU.

USG has been unable to gain credibility to enact the change it so righteously and continually supports. But, with our USG, student voice and opinion will be the center of every piece of legislation that is run, passed and implemented. When deciding to run for student body president and vice president, we understood the power of the positions we would hold. We built a platform of realistic, measurable and aspirational goals.

We are ready, we are able and we are excited.

Ciera Blehm, Candidate for USG President

Matthew Meyer, Candidate for USG Vice President
