Freshman Lynnzee Brown (Kansas City, Mo.) represented DU as an individual all-around competitor in the Semifinal I at the NCAA National Championships on April 20. Brown finished in the top ten on the bars, and finished at No. 15 overall in the all-around for Semifinal I.

Brown began the meet on the floor, competing last in her rotation. Despite an early step out, Brown finished strong and earned a 9.6625. She competed next on the vault, competing a Yurchenko 1.5, and scoring a 9.7625. Following vault, Brown moved to bars. Her score of 9.875 was her highest score of the competition, and the fourth-highest bars score by a Denver gymnast at the National Championships. Brown finished the competition on the beam, scoring a 9.800.

Brown’s overall score of 39.100 placed her in 15th for the all-around. She placed 27th on beam, 35th on vault, and 39th on the floor.

Denver gymnastics season concluded with this meet. The team will return nine members and lose seniors Nikole Addison (Fort Myers, Fla.), Claire Hammen (Loveland, Colo.) and Leah Lomonte (Katy, Texas.).
