September marks the true beginning of the season of television, and this fall is set to see the return of some binge-worthy classics along with a number of new, exciting series. Here’s what TV viewers should be keeping an eye out for this season.

The Muppets

Sept. 22: 8/7c on ABC

Following the recent split of Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, this mockumentary gets up close and personal with Jim Henson’s beloved characters. Accompanied by The Muppets’ classic wit and sentiment, the series should be a nostalgic experience for anyone who grew up loving the original show.

Limitless

Sept. 22: 10/9c on CBS

A television adaptation of the blockbuster starring Bradley Cooper (who will be featured in the show), this series follows the story of Brian Finch (Jake McDorman, “American Sniper”) who, much like Cooper in the film, finds a drug that allows him to access previously untapped regions of his brain. The show promises an exciting watch for anyone eager for a new take on the action-packed crime drama.

How to Get Away with Murder

Sept. 24: 10/9c on ABC

The TV thriller achieved almost instant success in its first season with its magnetic plot and enticing cast. In this dark legal drama, Viola Davis (“The Help”) plays defense attorney/law professor Annalise Keating, who is teaching a class not-so-fortuitously titled “How to Get Away With Murder.” When she picks a group of students to aid her firm with legal cases, limits are tested and chilling truths are revealed. Coming off the hype of a chilling season finale, Season 2 promises not to disappoint.

Master of None

Nov. 6: Netflix

Aziz Ansari’s (“Parks and Recreation”) new comedy is coming to Netflix late this fall. The show surrounds the life of somewhat neurotic actor, Dev (Ansari), as he confronts issues of immigration, treatment of the elderly and the hottest places in New York to eat. Co-written by “Parks and Rec” writer Alan Yang, the series promises to be a hilarious experience marking the plights of the well-known comedian.

Jessica Jones

Nov. 20: Netflix

Marvel fans will be pleased to discover the second of four comic-inspired shows Netflix has announced. Following the success of “Daredevil,” this series features superhero-turned-private detective Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter, “Big Eyes”), whose fiery personality and advanced skill-set give her the tools to defend her city and keep audiences watching.
