A fun company for friends, family and school and business groups called Puzzah! just got a new element to up its interest level from its Fall Clarion feature.
Puzzah! is an interactive puzzle room located in the heart of downtown Denver at 1440 Blake Street. The space is comprised of several different rooms where you can go with a group of two to four people and choose a mission to complete in 60 minutes. For example, in an activity called “Tick Tock,” teams try to disarm a bomb rigged at a performing arts center, and in “The Steal” the group completes a heist job of stealing a priceless artifact from a criminal organization. Puzzah! uses technology and problem-solving to create a unique experience for whatever group you bring to the facility. Puzzah also houses a themed novelty gift store.
On April 16, Puzzah! added a whole new element to their business that DU students might find appealing. Solidoodle, a Brooklyn-based company that creates and sells 3D printers, announced its intention to hold 3D printing workshops at Puzzah! in order to promote small businesses and contribute to community engagement. Puzzah! founder, Ryan Pachmaker, has used 3D printers to provide his nearly 400 visitors per week with several different types of games in his facility, according to media contact Yukiko Ide of Solidoodle.
Pachmaker reached out to Solidoodle with an overall goal of using a Solidoodle printer to create puzzles that can be shared with the local and worldwide community through Solidoodle’s content-sharing website. For now, though, his preliminary project with Solidoodle is creating 3D-printed objects for customers to experience when they visit the puzzle room.
“This printer will help us show our many diverse users the advantages of a state-of-the-art 3D printer that is affordable and useful to the average consumer,” said Pachmaker, according to Ide’s press release. “We plan to print many puzzles and fun objects to share with the community.”
The first 3D printer workshops at Puzzah! took place on April 27 and more will follow in the future. Groups can book their missions on the Puzzah! website.
