After a weekend at Regionals in Seattle, DU’s gymnastics team finished their season with a third place finish.
The 20th-ranked Denver ended with a total team score of 195.625, not high enough to send the team to the NCAA National Championships.

Senior Moriah Martin led the Pioneers at Regionals and earned a score of 39.225 in the all-around, which will allow her to compete in the National Championships as an individual. This will be Martin’s third consecutive trip to Nationals as an individual competitor.

Martin’s performance on vault and bars earned her two scores of 9.900, which helped her finish 8th in all-around competition.

Junior Nina McGee finished the meet with a score of 38.650 in the all-around and placed fourth in the floor event.

On vault, Denver posted a team score of 49.000, where Martin earned her 20th consecutive vault score over 9.800.

Sophomore Katie Menhinick and freshman Julia Ross both posted scores over 9.750, helping add to Denver’s team total.

On beam, senior Jorie Hall led the Pioneers with a score of 9.750.

The NCAA National Championships will be held in Birmingham, Ala., April 18-20. Denver will not be attending as a team, but Martin will be representing the crimson and gold in the individual all-around event.
