Theft
Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of clothing from a laundry room in Nagel Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with a student who stated that the clothing had been left unattended in a dryer from approximately 11:00 p.m. on 10/06/13 until 10:00 a.m. on 10/07/13. When they returned to retrieve it, they found it was gone. A review of surveillance footage identified a suspect in the case.
Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 12:29 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of a laptop from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon house. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with a student who stated that they had left the laptop unsecured and unattended in a common area of the house on 10/08/13 and that when they returned to retrieve it, it was gone.
Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at 1:39 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the theft of several items from a locker room in the Ritchie Center. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the parent of a minor who stated that during a youth hockey practice, several items including cell phones, wallets and cash went missing from the locker room.
Medical Assist
Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at 8:55 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a student in need of medical assistance at the Ciber Soccer Field. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question and called for paramedics. Paramedics transported the student in question to Porter Hospital.
Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 5:43 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a student in need of medical assistance in the Ritchie Center. Upon arrival at the scene, officers provided assistance until paramedics arrived and transported the student to Porter Hospital.
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 4:02 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a student in need of medical assistance in the Ritchie Center. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question and called paramedics who transported the student to Porter Hospital.
Narcotics
Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at 4:19 p.m. – While on routine patrol, a DCS officer observed three students who were smoking marijuana in the Bridge Garden located just south of Centennial Halls. Officers contacted the students and confiscated the marijuana from them.
Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 2:31 p.m. – DCS responded to a call from the Denver Police Department (DPD) regarding four students who were smoking marijuana in an alleyway adjacent to campus. DPD cited the students for underage possession of marijuana and released them from the scene.
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 10:49 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a residential room in Centennial Halls. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room in question where they spoke with a student who relinquished possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol.
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 10:52 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a residential room in Centennial Halls. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room in question where they contacted a student who denied use or possession of the drug. A search of the room in question revealed marijuana and paraphernalia which officers confiscated.
Detox
Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 10:31 p.m. – While performing their job duties, officers were made aware of a highly intoxicated student near the Shwayder Arts Building. Officers contacted the student in question who was unconscious and called for paramedics who transported the student to Porter Hospital.

Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 12:12 a.m. – While performing their job duties, a DCS officer was made aware of a highly intoxicated student near the Shwayder Arts Building. Officers contacted the student in question and Denver Cares who transported the student to their facility.

Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 1:11 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding an intoxicated student in Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question and Denver Cares who transported the student to their facility.

Alcohol
Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 10:52 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a student who may have been in need of assistance in centennial Halls. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to a residential room where the student in question was believed to be. Officers did not contact the student, but they confiscated alcohol that was in plain sight in the room.
Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 at 11:18 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding an intoxicated student near the Shwayder Arts Building. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted the student in question and released them to return to their residential room.
Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 11:14 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding the odor of marijuana emanating from a room in Centennial Halls. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were admitted to the room in question where they confiscated a small amount of alcohol.
Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at 1:55 a.m. – While on routine patrol, a DCS officer observed one student and one unaffiliated party who appeared to be intoxicated playing the ponds in the Humanities Garden. Officers contacted the two parties in question and released them to custody of a friend who transported them to an off-campus residence.
Miscellaneous
Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at 10:13 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a vehicular collision in parking lot 304. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with a student who stated that, while attempting to avoid a collision with a second student, they backed their vehicle into a DU owned vehicle that was being driven by a staff member. There were no injuries to report.
Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at 5:31 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a found wallet in Sturm Hall. Upon arrival at the scene, officers attempted to identify the owner of the wallet by examining its contents and found a false identification card belonging to a student.
Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 1:45 a.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a student who was exposing themselves while walking near the intersection of East Asbury Avenue and South Race Street. Officers responded to the scene and contacted two student witnesses along with the student suspect. The Denver Police Department (DPD) was called to the scene where they arrested the suspect and transported them to Denver County Jail.
Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 6:20 p.m. – DCS responded to a call regarding a suspicious party in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity house. Upon arrival at the scene, officers contacted a student who stated that the suspicious party has been seen numerous times since September 2013.
Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at 12:16 p.m. – DCS responded to a call from a student regarding vandalism to their vehicle near the Lambda Chi Fraternity. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the student who stated that sometime between 9:00 p.m. on 10/12/13 and 11:45 a.m. on 10/13/13, an unknown person had broken a window on the vehicle.
