On Friday, March 30, 2012 at 10:14 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from DPD regarding a student in need of assistance at Centennial Halls. Officers arrived at the scene, spoke with the student in question and provided them with information about available resources.
On Friday, March 30, 2012 at 7:36 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student regarding a second student who was in need of medical assistance at Nagel Hall. The reporting party also noted paramedics were en route. Upon arrival at the scene, officers provided assistance to the student in question until paramedics arrived and transported them to Porter Hospital.
On Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 11:36 a.m., due to a 911 call made from the building, Campus Safety responded to the Ritchie Center. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with a student who was in need of medical assistance. Officers remained on the scene with the student until paramedics arrived and transported them to Porter Hospital.
Drugs and alcohol
On Friday, March 30, at 12:22 a.m., while on special assignment in conjunction with the Denver Police Department (DPD) for a fraternity sponsored party, officers were made aware of a student who was extremely intoxicated. When officers spoke with the student in question, they found the student had a fraudulent identification card which was confiscated by officers. Due to the student’s high level of intoxication, they were transported by Denver Cares to their facility.
On Friday, March 30, at 1:07 a.m., while on special assignment, Campus Safety officers observed a student who was extremely intoxicated and appeared to be lost. Campus Safety and DPD officers contacted the student in question. Due to the student’s high level of intoxication, they were transported to Denver Cares by DPD.
On Friday, March 30, at 12:48 a.m., while on special assignment Campus Safety observed a student who was visibly intoxicated and ill. Campus Safety and Denver Cares personnel (already on site from previous incidents) approached the student who was in possession of a false identification card. Campus Safety confiscated the false identification and Denver Cares transported the student to their facility.
On Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11:02 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from Housing and Residential Education (HRE) staff regarding an intoxicated student in Centennial Halls. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the student in question and determined they were too intoxicated to remain on campus. Officers contacted Denver Cares, who arrived on the scene and transported the student to their facility.
On Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2:11 a.m., while on routine patrol, a Campus Safety officer observed three unknown individuals who appeared to be underage and intoxicated near the Ritchie Center. When the officer contacted the group, the individuals became nervous and fled the scene on foot. Officers were able to apprehend one of the unknown individuals and ascertain they were a student. Due to the student’s level of intoxication and their attempt to flee the scene, the Denver Police Department (DPD) and paramedics were called. The student was cited by DPD for illegal acts on or about school grounds and transported by paramedics to Denver Health
Harrassment
On Friday, March 30, at 1:50 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student who, while riding their bicycle on a public sidewalk near the Daniels College of Business, was assaulted by another student. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke to the reporting student who stated the student who attacked them was very intoxicated and caused damage to their bicycle before fleeing the scene.
On Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 3:14 a.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a staff member regarding two students who were engaging in sexual activity in a locker room at the Ritchie Center. Officers responded to the scene, spoke with the students in question and notified them a report would be filed regarding their behavior.
On Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2:23 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student regarding a hit and run vehicular collision in parking lot U. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with the student and observed the damage to their vehicle appeared to be caused by an act of vandalism, not a collision. The student was advised to file an additional report with the Denver Police Department.
Theft
On Thursday, March 29, at 11:48 p.m., Campus Safety responded to a call from a student who stated they had witnessed two unknown individuals breaking into parked cars on South Williams Street. Officers searched the area and were unable to find the individuals described. Later that evening, Campus Safety received a second call from a student who stated they knew the identity of the individuals in question.
