what went right
In two home matches over the weekend, the Pioneers downed both conference foes. Friday, Denver topped Arkansas Little-Rock in four sets (25-22, 25-19, 20-25, 25-15). The Pioneers recorded a season-high 10 service aces in the match. Junior Faimie Kingsley and redshirt freshman Cassie Ronda led the Pioneers with 14 kills apiece. Sunday, Ronda again led the team with 13 kills five blocks as the Pioneers defeated Arkansas State (20-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-16).
what went wrong
The Pioneers had a strong weekend at home, despite losing one set to each of its opponents.

Denver prepares for its final match of the season as it welcomes North Texas to Hamilton Gymnasium Friday, Nov. 11. First serve is set for 6 p.m. The Pioneers will be honoring Cawthra and Alyssa Bonelli in a pre-match ceremony to celebrate their careers at DU.

what went right
Juniors Enej Bonin and Jens Vorkefeld were crowned Group A doubles champions with a 2-0 record at the Minnesota Invitational Sunday afternoon at Baseline Tennis Center. Bonin and Vorkefeld beat Notre Dame’s Spencer Talmadge and Niall Fitzgerald 8-5 on Friday and Minnesota’s Phillip Arndt and Leandro Toledo 9-7 on Saturday. Sophomore Alex Clinkenbeard and Vorkefeld posted an 8-6 win over Nebraska’s Robert Schulze and Tom Blackwell in Group B doubles action.
what went wrong
Vorkefeld, senior Yannick Weihs and freshman Othar Kordsachia each lost three-set singles matches to players from host Minnesota.
