One of the most chic fashion movements in Colorado and throughout the world is TOMS shoes.

Blake Mycoskie started the company in 2006 after traveling to Argentina. While traveling, Mycoskie was astonished by the fact that many of the Argentinian children he encountered did not have shoes.

To do his part to get Argentiian children shoes, Mycoskie started making TOMS shoes, “TOMS” meaning “tommorow’s”. He also created the “One for One” program. For every pair of TOMS shoes sold, one pair of new shoes is given to a child in need.

Along with aiding third-world countries, TOMS is helping keep our world green. Every style of TOMS shoes is made with environmentally friendly, biodegradable materials.

A vegan style of TOMS is also available. While they are designed to look and feel like regular TOMS, they are completely void of animal bi-products.

As the weather continues to get colder in Colorado, boots are making a comeback. This fall, TOMS boots provide a fashionable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional snowboots.
