What Went Right
Denver shut out New Mexico for the first 87 minutes of play on Friday night. A late goal from Lobos midfielder Matt Armstrong proved to be the game-winner.
What Went Wrong
Just a week after notching an upset win on the road against New Mexico, the Pioneers dropped a home contest to the Lobos, which marked the team’s first Mountain Pacific Sports Federation loss on the season. DU got its second conference loss two days later when they were dropped by UNLV.

DU remains at home this week where they will host Sacramento State on Friday night and San Jose State on Sunday afternoon.

What Went Right
The Pioneers remained unbeaten in Sun Belt Conference play thanks to a game-winning goal from sophomore Katy Van Lieshout, who netted the lone goal in last Sunday’s 1-0 overtime win over Florida International. The Pioneers defense recorded its fourth and fifth consecutive shutouts over the weekend.
What Went Wrong
Despite failed offensive attempts late in the second half that forced overtime against FIU, DU was able to get its ninth consecutive win by holding the Golden Panthers to five shots during the contest.

As the postseason draws closer, the Pioneers look to lock up the No. 1 in the SBC conference tournament. They travel to Jonesboro, Ark., on Thursday to take on Arkansas State. Then the team comes home to host Arkansas-Little Rock on Sunday afternoon.

What Went Right
In last Saturday’s matchup against Louisiana Lafayette, Denver went up 2-1 after winning a decisive third set behind great performances from freshmen Brea Muhle and Colleen King. The pair finished with a combined 27 kills. Senior Kresson Vreeman finished the weekend with a combined 85 assists.
What Went Wrong
The Pioneers dropped to four games below .500 percent when they lost in five sets to North Texas. The Mean Green’s Amy Huddleston and Lacy Reasons combined for 37 kills during the match.

DU travels to play non-conference foe Colorado State on Wednesday. Then the team looks to continue its SBC success when it hosts a pair of conference opponents. Denver takes on South Alabama on Friday evening and then Troy on Sunday afternoon.

Finished No. 14 at the Bank of Tennessee Invitational
What Went Right
Freshman CJ Kim showed promise, finishing 1-under par 71 in the final round at the Bank of Tennessee Invitational on Sunday afternoon. Senior Klinton Krieger, who was playing as an individual, ended up shooting an even-par 72 in the final round.
What Went Wrong
Denver finished dead last at the competition, finishing 49-over par 913 as a team. On the first day, the team shot poorly, recording a total score of 314.

The team looks to rebound next month when it travels to Stockton, Calif., to participate in the Pacific Invitational from Nov. 1-3.
