Based on the children’s book written by Ron and Judi Barrett, the animated film “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” follows the life of Flint Lockwood (voice of Bill Hader), an amateur scientist who is determined to show his small town, Chewandswallow what he can do.
The only problem is that whenever he tries to, he ends up looking like an idiot.
Determined not to give up, Flint redoubles his efforts and focuses his next experiment of curing world hunger.
Flint is ecstatic when he achieves his goal—in the form of food falling from the sky in place of rain and snow.
Happy, but confused about what is happening, Flint recruit’s the help of Sam Sparks (voice of Anna Faris) to assist him in figuring out the mystery of the edible precipitation.
With a bubbly weathergirl, a self- centered mayor with a hidden agenda and a bully that just won’t quit, there’s no surprise that this movie is a hit.
“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” is an absolutely adorable movie that will more than please fans of the book.
The movie was completely animated and everything came together extremely well.
The only complaint is that it’s an absolutely forgettable movie.
Be prepared to forget all about it within two hours of watching.
