Sterolab is one of those bands that are always there, yet never heard about.
Despite a large following and numerous albums the group has decided to remain underground. Now they are back with yet another album titled Margerine Eclipse.
Sterolab’s music is very unique and different even among their own albums and songs. They are in a constant state of growth and change. The electronic techno rock style of music is continually breaking new ground and pushing the limits. Everything that the band does seems experimental.
The group, consisting of Tim Grgetita Sadier, Mary Hansen, Morgane, Lane Lhote, Andrew Ramsay, and Simon Johns, has been making music since 1991. They have since released 10 albums.
The album takes you on a musical journey as the 54-minute album molds sound into forms that your ears have never heard before.
Songs like “Sudden stars” and “Margerine rock” flow smoothly with a variety of electronic noises blurting in. Sadier’s vocals are flawless as they accent the music perfectly.
There really are no dead spots on the album. It melts perfectly into a musical masterpiece. Right up there with Radio Head, this album is perfect for those late night road trips. With Sterolab, most people either seem to love them or hate them. There is really no middle ground, but this album will give you a good idea of what they are all about.
