On Sunday night, Jan. 27, painted vandalism was discovered on the wheelchair ramp outside of Sturm. On the east side, the spray paint used a pejorative phrase for liberals, telling them to “make communism a threat again.” The south portion of the ramp was spray painted as well. It read “our future is being sold to the highest bidder,” and “anarchy not climate change.”

The defacement was originally found on Sunday morning but was altered with different words by that night, indicating that the ramp was vandalized multiple times. Though some of the message is incoherent, the anger towards certain groups is clear. This adds to the long list of public defacements at DU and college campuses across the country. Campus Safety declined to comment on the pending investigation.
