The sun is out and the days are beautiful as spring is in the air. The snow is melting rapidly as the ski season comes to an end. What to do now?

If you’re the adventurous type you may want to attempt the impossible and fly.

Six Flags Elitch Gardens now has a new ride that makes human flight possible. The Flying Coaster is the only one of kind in the world, and it is opening here in Denver in late May.

Those who are daring enough to board this ride will get a bird’s eye view of the Denver skyline and the Rocky Mountains.

The coaster, which is designed by the Italian ride manufacturer Zamperla, is composed of seven separate gondolas that each hold four passengers side by side, and are launched at separate times providing a perfect ride for each person.

Passengers climb into their safety harnesses, which are secured, and then they are tipped forward into the flying position.

The track is laid out such that it spirals, swoops, loops, cork screws, dives and twists through the air giving passengers a realistic sensation of flight. The speed and acceleration varies throughout the ride.

“If you’ve always wanted to skydive or hang glide…or just a unique thrill that is out of this world…this is it,” said park spokesman Eric Curry.

He went on to say, “This one-of-a-kind coaster is perfect for guests who want to be the first to experience a ride like this. They’ll flat out FLY!”

The ride is 70 feet high and 1,200+ feet in length, and every inch is action packed.

They have a variety of other rides, such as the Mind Eraser, Twister 2, Tower of Doom, Turbobungy, Chaos and many more.

So if this spring you’re bored and wondering what you can possibly do, try Elich’s. You are sure to find something that you’ll like.
