Men’s tennis gave Boston University a run for its money on Tuesday after defeating BU 7-0.

The match was supposed to be played at DU’s Stapelton Tennis Pavilion, but was moved indoors to the Air Force Academy due to the winter storm last week.

The Pioneers started out the day on the doubles courts, winning the first two of three matches.

Despite a Denver loss on the first court, seniors Magnus Ramfelt and Jay Patel joined forces to overpower BU’s Jason Vinoles and John Paul Debbink 8-1.

Sophomore Hans Peter Gaber and freshman Jason Tan earned the doubles for Denver as they toppled Joshua Holbrook and Noel Moossa 8-4.

BU didn’t have a chance against DU in singles. The Pioneers won all six matches for the school to earn the sweep.

Ramfelt strengthened his record to 13-7 with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over BU’s Geoffery Wagner.
