Alpha Gamma Delta’s Second Annual Mr. DU male beauty pageant was held on Saturday in Sturm Auditorium. The pageant benefited The Juvenile Diabetes foundation.

Sophomore Colin Tilbe won the pageant in addition to the boxer competition.

The pageant consisted of a boxer contest, a talent contest, a costume contest, and a question and answer session for the top five contestants.

As in past years, there were some rather wild performances. Two contestants stripped to nothing but thongs during the talent contest.

For his talent number, Tilbe asked three girls from the audience to the stage to make an ice cream sundae out of him.

“I didn’t think I was very good at anything else and I thought it would be something funny to do. I also wanted to get the audience involved,” he said.

“I had a good time and winning topped it all off. It’d be fun to do it next year; I had a blast. All of the guys that did it should get some credit,” he added.

First runner-up was freshman Nick Sauer, whose impersonation of Bill Clinton brought laughs to the audience.

Second runner-up was Tom Gieck, who also won the costume competition with his Saturday Night Live cheerleader outfit.

Sophomore Brian Kates won the talent competition with his hilarious rendition of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.”
