Early-morning party

On Thursday, Sept. 26, at about 8:29 a.m., the Denver Police Department responded to a loud music/party complaint in the 2600 block of South Williams Street. Two DU students were given a verbal warning as a result of the complaint.

Woman harassed

On Friday, Sept. 27, at about 12:21 a.m., an unaffiliated adult female reported three DU students harassed her at her home in the 1900 block of South Williams Street. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation.

Inebriated freshman

On Saturday, Sept. 28, at about 4:45 a.m., a residence assistance reported an underage DU student intoxicated at Centennial Halls Dormitory. Campus Safety responded and contacted the student. The student was not in need of medical assistance and was referred to Citizenship and Community Standards Committee for disposition of the infraction. Missing student

On Sunday, Sept. 29, at about 6:15 a.m., a University of Colorado police officer reported a vehicle belonging to a DU student was found abandoned on Highway 36 outside Boulder. Campus Safety went to the Beta Theta Pi fraternity house to locate the DU student, but could not find him. The student’s father was notified and he advised Campus Safety that he would follow up with his son.

False alarm

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, at about 12:28 a.m., a fire alarm was activated at the Seeley G. Mudd building. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. Investigation revealed it was a false alarm due to an unknown system malfunction.

Illegal artists

On Thursday, Sept. 26, at about 11:58 p.m., Campus Safety reported unknown person(s) painted graffiti on a standing ashtray outside the Ritchie Center. Facilities Management was notified about the defacement.

Another false alarm

On Thursday, Sept. 26, at about 8:21 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at the Sigma Chi fraternity house. A Campus Safety Officer and the Denver Fire Department responded. An investigation revealed the alarm was caused by steam from a shower.

Stolen music items

On Thursday, Sept. 26, at about 11:30 a.m., a DU staff member reported that between May and August numerous items belonging to a Lamont School of Music professor as well as items from the school itself were stolen during the move from the Houston Fine Arts Center and the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. It is unknown if the thefts occurred on or off campus. A Campus Safety investigation is ongoing.

Four car radios: gone

On Sunday, Sept. 29, at about 10:10 p.m., an unaffiliated concert attendee reported unknown person(s) stole his car radio and a camera from his personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot T, under the Tennis Pavilion. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation and advised the male to file a report with the Denver Police Department. A few minutes later, another concert attendee reported unknown person(s) stole her car radio and personal property from her personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot T, under the Tennis Pavilion. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation and advised the female to file a report with the Denver Police Department. On Sunday, Sept. 29, at about 10:10 p.m., an unaffiliated concert attendee reported unknown person(s) stole her car radio and personal property from her personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot T, under the Tennis Pavilion. On Tuesday, Oct. 1, at about 12:05 p.m., a Sodexho staff member reported unknown person(s) broke into her vehicle and stole her car radio while it was parked and unattended in the 2400 block of South High Street. Campus Safety responded, completed an investigation and advised the Sodexho staff member to file a report with the Denver Police Department about the theft.

Bikers trespassing

On Friday, Sept. 27, at about 1:32 p.m., a DU staff member reported several bicyclists stunt riding in the Harper Humanities Gardens. Campus Safety responded and contacted one of the bicyclists. The bicyclist was identified and told to leave DU property. Both rollerbladers and bicyclists are not permitted on the pavement walk in the Humanities Garden.

Parking permit pilfered

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, at about 9 a.m., a DU staff member reported her restricted parking permit was stolen from her unsecured personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended south of the Mary Reed Building. Parking Services was notified.

Brown liquid on PC

On Saturday, Sept. 28, at about 11:10 a.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) poured a brown liquid onto her unattended laptop at the Lowell Thomas Law Building on the Park Hill campus. Campus Safety responded and completed an investigation. The student declined assistance from Denver Police Department.
