Students, we at the Clarion need your help. We admit that we are not perfect; in fact we are far from it. That’s why we need your help to improve the paper. We want to hear what you think of us, because after all, this is your newspaper, the student’s newspaper.
Write to us and let us know what you think of this publication. How can we make the Clarion more enjoyable to read? What do you think we need to improve on? And what topics would you like to see covered in future issues? What would you enjoy reading about?
If something is happening on campus that you think is newsworthy, let us know. You have a voice, so let it be heard.
To all the student clubs and organizations: the Clarion wants student organization leaders and members to voice their concerns in the Clarion. Write editorials on the issues concerning your club, the DU campus and student life. If your club is struggling with membership, write about it. If you’re disappointed about the lack of student involvement on campus, let us know. If you think some clubs get too much money from the Senate, while others get nothing, voice your concern.
If you think the Clarion isn’t doing an accurate job of reporting, we want to hear about it. Your club is sponsoring an event? Publicize it in the Clarion.
Write about issues affecting the nation and the world. What do college Republicans think about Bush’s new economic plan, the plan that Democrats say only helps the rich? What do religious organizations on campus think about the Catholic sex-abuse scandals? Is cloning a good idea?
All topics are game.
Here’s how you get your thoughts and words across. Send your articles to clarion_editorials@hotmail.com every Wednesday by 5p.m. Articles should be no more than 250 words. They will be edited for length , grammar and accuracy. Please attach your username, club or organization name, an e-mail address and phone number so we can reach you.
