Theft at Halls

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 8:19 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a theft at Centennial Halls. A DU student reported an unidentified male entered her unsecured residence hall room on Oct. 27, at 3 a.m. On Monday, Oct. 29, she discovered personal items were missing from her room. Disposition pending report review.

Knee injury

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 9:50 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an injured party at the Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student injured his knee during a flag football game. The student declined medical assistance and advised a friend would transport him to Porter Hospital for medical treatment.

Unwanted party in car

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 10:25 a.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of an unwanted party in the 1900 block of S. York Street. An on-scene investigation revealed an unaffiliated party was living in a vehicle parked on the city street. A DU student reported he was verbally harassed by the party. Campus Safety contacted the party who was advised to move his vehicle and not to return to campus. Campus Safety completed a report.

Fire alarm

On Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 11:37 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of a fire alarm at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house. An on-scene

investigation revealed no smoke or fire was present. A DU staff member working in the area may have accidentally tripped the alarm. Campus Safety completed a report.

Marijuana smoking

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 2:16 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of the odor of marijuana coming from a residence hall room at Johnson-McFarlane Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed two DU students were in the room. An underage student admitted smoking marijuana and was in possession of alcohol and drug paraphernalia. The contraband was confiscated. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Sexual assault

On Tuesday, Oct. 30, Campus Safety sent out a crime alert about a sexual assault incident. The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 12 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, in the alley between South High Street and South Williams Street just south of East Asbury Avenue. The victim stated that she was walking south bound down the alley when she observed three males approaching her. After a brief exchange of words, one of the suspects put his arms around her, wrestled her to the ground, fondled and groped her.

Stolen laptop

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at12:55 p.m. a DU student reported a theft at Sturm Hall. A Campus Safety report revealed a DU student left her laptop unsecured and unattended in a study room on Oct. 30, at 9:30 p.m. When she returned at 9:45 p.m. to retrievethe laptop she discovered it was missing.

Verbal disturbance

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 3:05 p.m. Campus Safety responded to the report of a disturbance at the Mary Reed Building. An on-scene investigation revealed a DU student caused a minor verbal disturbance during a meeting. The Office of Citizenship and Community Standards will be notified.

Student has seizure

On Thursday, Nov. 1, at 12:11 p.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an ill party at Craig Hall. An on-scene investigation revealed an epileptic DU student experienced a seizure. The student declined medical assistance.

Student faints

On Thursday, Nov. 1, at 12:55 p.m. a Campus Safety officer was conducting a routine patrol in the Newman Performing Arts Center when a DU student reported another DU student fainted in the Joy Burns Plaza. An on-scene investigation revealed a pregnant DU student fainted. The student declined medical assistance and was transported to her physician’s office by an unidentified DU student driving a personal vehicle.

Underage drinking

On Friday, Nov. 2, at 1:17 a.m. Campus Safety and the Denver Fire Department responded to the report of an intoxicated party at Centennial Halls. An on-scene investigation revealed the party was an underage and severely intoxicated DU student. Paramedics transported the student

to Porter Hospital for treatment.
