This past weekend, the Newman Center continued its tradition of offering great music at the Mile High Voltage Festival that showcased performers of vastly different genres.

The audience was mostly community members. The student population was underrepresented.

Whether this is a result of students not caring or the cost of tickets is unclear. In any case, the house was not packed.

The festival offered music that was more intellectual than entertaining, but the tense and artistic themes were both appealing and fascinating.

Friday night’s performances included Burkina Electric, The Playground, Andy Akiho, Evan Ziporyn and Michael Harrison.

Saturday’s included SCB
