On Sunday, April 4, at 5:43 a.m., the mother of a DU student requested a welfare check of her daughter at her residence in Centennial Halls. A Campus Safety officer and an RA responded and found the student to be OK.

False alarm

On Sunday, April 4, at 4:46 a.m., a fire alarm was activated at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. A Denver Fire Department investigation revealed the alarm was caused by unknown person(s) that discharged a fire extinguisher in a hallway. There were no injuries or damage to the building.

Long ago…

On Tuesday, April 6, at about 1p.m., a DU student reported that in September 2003, a substance dripped onto her personal vehicle while it was parked and unattended in Lot N, under Nelson Hall. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.

Car radio stolen

On Tuesday, April 6, at 3:25 p.m., a DU student reported unknown person(s) broke into his personal vehicle and stole the car radio. A Campus Safety officer responded, completed an investigation, and advised the student to file a report with Denver police.

Billfold heist

On Tuesday, April 6, at about 4 p.m., a DU student reported that on April 1, unknown person(s) stole his unattended wallet from The Ritchie Center. A Campus Safety officer responded and completed an investigation.

Just popcorn

On Tuesday, April 6, at 11:47 p.m., a fire alarm was activated at Centennial Halls. Campus Safety and Denver Fire Department responded. A Denver Fire Department investigation revealed the alarm was caused by burned popcorn in a microwave oven. There were no injuries or damage.

Plead the fifth

On Wednesday, April 7, at 2:22 a.m., an RA reported a DU student did not properly identify herself when requested to do so by the RA. A Campus Safety officer responded and was able to properly identify the student. The incident was referred to Citizenship & Community Standards for disposition.
