The University of Denver’s International Student Organization (ISO) will sponsor the 21st annual Festival of Nations on Saturday, April 3rd from noon to 5:00 p.m. The theme of this year’s festival is “Around the World in a Day” and will take place at DU’s Driscoll Center, which is located at 2055 East Evans Avenue, Denver, CO, 80208.

The Festival of Nations is the largest annual student-run event that takes place on DU’s campus. In 2002, the attendance was over 2,000 visitors. The ISO’s objective is to bring people of all nations and communities together for one day to share their cultures. ISO’s advisor, Kim Lemme said, “our goal is to foster multicultural awareness and appreciation among the communities at DU and Denver.”

The president of ISO, Minjia Ding said, “This is important to Denver and the DU community because it enables us to experience new and different cultures.”

The celebration will begin with an opening flag ceremony. The rest of the day will be filled with entertainment and activities, which include music and dancing from numerous cultures and international foods prepared by different student groups and groups from the Denver community.

The Festival of Nations is open to the public. Admission is free to everyone.
