What Went Right
Junior midfielder Jarod Stigall recorded a hat trick as the Pioneers went on to win their conference opener over the Falcons. The Pioneers jumped out to a stifling 4-0 lead and never looked back. Redshirt senior Joe Willis got the win in his first action of the season.
What Went Wrong
Nothing went wrong for the Pioneers as they cruised past Air Force. Sophomores Blake Shannon and Alex Tarnoczi each recorded a goal.
Up Next
The Pioneers continue conference play when they travel to New Mexico and UNLV on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

What Went Right
Sophomore’s Kalie Vaughn and Kaitlin Bast enjoyed big weekends, finished with two goals apiece. Nicholette DiGiacomo recorded four assists in the two two victories.
What Went Wrong
Thanks to early goals from Vaughn in both contests, the Pioneers never trailed this weekend and were able to remain unbeaten in conference play. Goalie Lara Campbell recorded her third shutout in four games.

Volleyball (8-11, 2-3 SBC)

What Went Right
The volleyball team earned its first conference win in dominating fashion. Against Lafayette, the Pioneers shutout the Ragin’ Cajuns, winning 27-25, 25-7, 25-20 in three sets. Freshman Colleen King recorded a career-high 12 kills. Freshman Brea Muhle and Alex Turgeon added nine and eight kills, respectively.
What Went Wrong
After a tough first set against the Ragin’ Cajuns that had to go into overtime, DU cruised in the next two sets to complete a perfect weekend. Although they were able to get their first conference win over Monroe, the Pioneers beat a team that has yet to win a game this season.

The Pioneers stay at home this weekend where they will take on Arkansas-Little Rock on Friday night. On Sunday morning, DU takes on Arkansas State in Hamilton Gymnasium.
